I went home for Christmas to find no tins of sweets or crisps - we had a couple of ‘nice’, posh boxes of chocolates and a couple of bags of kettle crisps and some home-made baking. Anyhting else my mother had given away on the reasoning that we wouldnt lose teeth to chewy toffees, and wouldnt be eating anything aritficial. It was great though, we had plenty but never got that awful bloated feeling or ate for the sake of it and am delighted now! Even Christmas day I wasnt too bad. We had people up for nibbles that morning, again all home made, and I was too busy chatting and pouring drinks to eat myself. I had my christmas lunch, and ate my dessert that night instead, maybe about 5 of the nice chocolates too but was really satisfied. Although there were a good few glasses of wine drank!

Was doing really well on the eating and drinking front until last night! Attacked a tin of roses and a jar of nuts and raisins. Drank very little over the festive season as I got the ‘flu. Hopped on the scales this morning to find I am only up two pounds. However I still have a bit to lose so have started in earnest today.

Oh lads I have three tins of Roses in my house, I had 7 kids here last Sunday night for a sleepover and I thought I might get rid of some sweets, in fairness to the kiddies they did no damage to the pile, I ate more that the gang did in a few minutes!!!

Going to give a tin to my big sister to bring into her workplace and I will give my cousin a tin to bring into her job.Otherwise I will demolish the lot!!!
I didn’t go too mad this year, anything that we bought seems to be gone, so I am proud that even though we cut back there was no wate(apart from Roses, and I didn’t buy all them)

recycling was big in my house, all bottles, cardboard and wrapping, I took to the recycling centre!!!!
The creche that the doll attends is taking egg cartons, cereal boxes and tissue boles for arts and crafts, I arrived last week with a boot full of the required items, the girl that works there must think I am nuts!!!It was me and my friend Mary, and her Mun that collected it all in one week!!!!

So Christmas will be a distant memory next Monday when all the traffic chaos is back and all the crazy commuters are back behind the wheels of their cars to get from small towns to the big smoke!!!

Tell me why I don’t like Mondays!!!

Happy weekend to you all

we have quite a few goodies, including Butlers chocs.  January is going to be a thrifty (broke)month so I’ll be rationing over the next few weeks.  Sad but necessary and true.  They will all be well fed and watered as they say but we wont be doing diddley till I clear da Visa.
