Started back on WW 2 weeks ago, finding it really good. I’ve lost 5lbs so far and I get weighted tonight. I’m hoping to have lost at least 2lbs tonight.

So what’s the deal with ww, is the diet really strict and do you have to go every-week to get weighted?

Check out http://www.weightwatchers.ie

The new Switch programme recognises that everyone is different. Switch is a truly individual, flexible weight loss plan where you can choose the changes that work for you.
Eat wisely, a choice of two healthy food plans for you to choose from: the POINTS plan or the Core plan.
On the POINTS plan, control calories with the POINTS system. Eat any food as long as you keep track and watch your portions.
On the Core plan, control calories by choosing from a list of wholesome, nutritious foods without tracking.

I use the points system & find this easy enough to follow I’m allowed 22 points a day. On the 2nd week of joining WW you receive a book with a listing of all points and the points value. This book will become your new best friend.

It’s a really good programme and you can still have all the foods you like providing you have enough points.

i was in ww for awhile before i found out i was pregnant i thought it was great i had lost 10pounds in just under a month and half.

far play phonix your doing great.

Before i went i thought i was eating small enough portions til i started weighing my food was really surprised i was stil full even with less food.

So i think if any1 is determinded to lose weight it will happen with willpower and the support you will get at your weekly class.

Kitty - you should give WW a go you can eat whatever you want as long as you stick to your points allowance each day. I have a really sweet tooth and I find now that I appreciate my little treats.  I exercise at least 3 times a week with a 40 minute walk and I just bought a trampoline, so will be on that next week. Have a look at http://www.weightwatchers.ie for more information. If you have any questions just ask grin

Well done Phoenix07! Thats a great start!- its a great diet - started it in Feb and have lost 2st 8lbs
Would recommend the diet to everyone - as per my screen name I’m a qualified Chef (none practicing!) and I find the diet very very easy to follow - its so easy to have a really big evening meal , and if you use the likes of Chicken and veg with a decent portion of carbs you are looking at roughy 5points (considering I started at 21pts)which does leave time for treats (normal chocie digestive is 1pts - not bad really!)
I opted out of the classes early on in the diet (just due to time constrants) but got so much support from home and work I didnt miss out - but saying this if you need support go to the classes they are very very much worth while (but you can go it alone once you have the self discpline)
Keep on going Phoenix!
And if anyone has any questions just ask!

First of all welcome to Ivenus. Well done 2st 8lbs that’s a great achievement. It’s good to know we have a chef here I will definetly be asking questions about creating some different dishes as I seem to stick to the same meals each week.

Was very bold this weekend eat a lot of crap but today is a new day & I’m back to counting points.

Sure dont worry about going over the points - we’ve all done it every now and again!
Also any time just ask for some alternatives for meals!

My mom was on weight watchers and lost sooo much weight. I was really proud of her. However, she got off of it for a bit due to holidays and such.  It really is a new lifestyle that you just have to keep up with.  She’s started again and is back to shrinking again.

I reccommend it! You just have to be really committed to sticking to a plan.

I found this web site recently, i havent tried anything out yet, but there seams to be loads of choices.  It is american, so maybe some of the measurements will be a bit different, and products, but its all pointed out which is great. http://www.angelfire.com/journal/wwrecipes/ . Also, check out some of the internationl weight watchers sites for different ideas.

I’ve started out on the point system again and have so far managed to GAIN 2lb !!?? dont ask!! i’m doing it myself, want to loose 10kg (sounds easier than 22lb!. )
