The government has decided to withdraw the cervical cancer vaccination programme for all 12 year old girls. Is this wrong and should it be reversed?

Mary Harney and the Government have a lot to answer to In 30 years time there may be a lot of unnecessary deaths as this is the 8th most common form of cancer in Ireland.

Please please everyone get their smears done recently. I know a 25 year old who has just had to have serious surgery after finding precancerous cells in her smear. She had one at 22 cos her mother made her have it, her next 2 were inconclusive and her last one showed up cells. The government did not pick wisely where to mae cuts!

Can you get it by just going to the GP with your daughter. I will pay for this myself for her.... A sign of the times girls, disgraceful budget cuts.

i have 2 daughters and i cant believe that our government could let the women of ireland down like this... they r spending money on monuments and bailing out banks when they should be spending on the peopleof ireland!!! its makes me so so angry! my children are both under 6 so hopefully the jab will be freely available by the time they r 12... i wouldnt mind paying 1% extra tax if i knew it was goin to something like this. We really have NO say in how this country is run. Irish people are far too quiet and laid back if this was india, turkey or even russiafor example there would be uproar or even riots (im not saying i condone riots!) We need to take a stand to protect our children!
