Start the look with a really good base as this will form the entire look. A matte foundation will prevent shine and stay in place all night long.

Cover up tired eyes or red blotchy skin with concealer for a smooth clear complexion.

Enhance the cheekbones with a sun-kissed bronzer with shimmer, like Bronzing Shimmer Powder in Bronzing Queen €3.49 from Essence.

For best results, you will need three colours to create a smokey eye. Start with a base in a shimmery cream all over the eyelid.

Then use Duo Eyeshadow in Night Clubbing, €2.99 as it provides two shades of smokey greys that blend easily together. Put the lighter shade on the lid and then work the darker shade into a sideways ‘V’ shape on the outer corner of each eye.

Apply eyebrow pencil to the brows in order to extend the brows out further – this will create a more dramatic feel to the look.

Finally, to achieve those cat-like eyes, apply black liquid eyeliner followed by two coats of Extreme Length Sensitive Mascara from No7, €16.25

With such a dramatic look you need to go simple with the lips. Apply a fresh shimmering gloss for a light finish.
