After a wet start here in Swords it seems to be brightening up a bit. I am going to do my daily walk early today as we are without electricity until 4 this afternoon. I keep forgetting and going to do things that I need power for!
Any of you ladies thinking of going to the Womans Way day out? Maybe we could meet up there.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, just typed up a long post and when I went to post it,it disappeared.  I usually make a copy of my post before I post it but alas today I didn’t!!!!  mad

Dry day in Cork and very mild but a bit dull.  No news on the job front, the job I applied for will take a few weeks before they get back to me to invite me for a interview or get a ‘Dear John’ letter!!!!!  cheese

I watched Colm Murray’s programme on RTE1 last night at 9.35pm.  I admired his bravery and determination in dealing and living with Motor Neuron’s disease.  My mam died in her 70s of that in July 95.  Nothing had showed up on her MRI scan but she exhited alot of they symptoms that Colm Murray is experiencing now.  As Colm said last night it’s not a disease who would wish to get or wish it on your worst enemy.  I was interested to see what advancement they had made with dealing with the disease since my mam’s death in ‘95.  It was a well put together programme.

Not due back at work until Thursday, feeling lazy today as I was down home until yesterday.

Enjoy the day everyone!  grin

I can’t walk! LOL. I did my bodyrock challenge this morning and it was all squats and lunges and now my legs feel like lead! Getting up and down the stairs for my shower was a challenge in it’s self LOL. I tried on some of my old ‘skinny’ clothes this morning and I could get zippers up no problem, so it kept me quite motivated to finish all the reps in my challenge today grin I’m actually really excited about it.

Enjoy the rest of the day girls grin

Fair play to you Kiwi, I’m slowly increasing my amount of squats and lunges it was so painful the first week, some lunges and squats on the agenda this evening for me...after a brisk walk

Today feels endless, I’d love to be having a lazy one at home, well for you Taurus!

Ah Daisy, fair play to you if you’re doing squats and lunges on your own, I need some kind of motivation. The bodyrock is great for that. I couldn’t say to myself that I’m going to do,say 20 everynight this week and then increase it next week. I need the carrot on a stick approach LOL

Yeah, I’ve been watching the video each day and writing down what the exercises are and then doing it. I haven’t checked out any of the other workouts, but I’d say once you become familiar with what each exercise is and what it’s called, you’ll just be able to look at the workout break down under the video. The exercises do vary. They really get your heart rate up. Today it seemed to concentrate on legs and resistance. One of the work outs I did last week, there were allot of push ups in it. My abs are starting to get some definition. (Even under the layer of fat hee hee).

I’m aiming for about the same loss each week as well. I know I’ve kind of jumped straight into exercise at the moment, I don’t usually exercise more than 3 times a week, but I figure I’ll do the challenge and then drop back to doing it 3 times a week. I want what I do to be sustainable. There’s no way I’d carry on exerciseing 5 days a week for ever! I’m just too lazy for that I’m afriad.  That goes for my diet as well. We usually drink jack and coke, but my other half can’t drink it at the moment, so I’ve switched to wine, and I think that’s helped as well. There are allot of empty calories in the coke. (Diet coke/coke zero is just not the same). I know there are empty calories in alchol, but I’m not depriving myself! LOL I have cut down on what I eat though, and trying to recognise when I eat. I eat when I’m bored. (Thats when smoking was handy!).
